Membership Product Manager

Salary: Competitive » Ref: JT5144 » Location: Liverpool

Purpose of Position;
 
Liverpool FC is looking to fill the role of Membership Product Manager.  The successful candidate will report to the Head of CRM and will be responsible for developing the strategy and implementing the Club’s membership scheme to retain and monetise supporters, in order to maximise revenue and profitability, whilst simultaneously owning and developing the relationship with members.

Main Duties and Responsibilities of the role;
  • Drive membership development with key stakeholders to increase the membership subscription base both domestically and internationally through reducing churn and growing new subscriptions.
  • Devise a plan to drive membership both domestically and internationally through the Club’s global supporters club branch network
  • Work closely with other members of the CRM team to increase membership sales through identifying opportunities offered within club and external marketing channels.
  • Liaise with the campaign manager to implement multi channel marketing campaigns
  • Work with club departments to look at integrating LFC products such as hospitality, tours, museum and soccer schools in more meaningful ways to provide mutual benefits and increase revenues
  • Define and implement a year-round membership experience to engage supporters
  • Work with the Ticketing team to implement membership sales strategies in order to maximize attendance as well as sales.
  • Identify added value offers relevant for building the benefits of the membership scheme
  • Look to develop 3rd party relationships that could help promote Membership sales through external retail or media tie-ins
  • Assess current membership best practice to delivery a beyond expectation customer experience
  • Work with the partnership team to support integration of club sponsor-partners in more meaningful ways
  • Look at opportunities to integrate Season Ticket Holders, Box Holders and Corporate guests within the membership scheme.
Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications required;
 
Technical;
  • Proven track record, at developing, implementing and measuring marketing activity to drive a brand’s revenue and equity  
  • Experience of working on strategic/joint marketing projects with internal stakeholders
  • Proven track record of developing high performing marketing strategies
  • Experience of loyalty/reward programmes desirable
  • International marketing experience would be an advantage
Behavioural;
  • Passionate about delivering revenue objectives, actively searches for business development opportunities, ambitious both personally and on behalf of the club 
  • Can build strong business relationships both internally and externally
  • An excellent communicator both written and verbal, an accomplished presenter who can persuade and influence their audience with credible business content 
  • Intellectually strong, able to think strategically, yet understands operational detail
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task 
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work well within a team  
  • Good organisational and prioritising skills   
  • A passion with sport/sports entertainment
