Job Purpose;
The Head of Media provides leadership and direction to Media Department and co-ordinates all media and public relations to achieve the goals and targets of the Club.
Responsibilities include;
- To oversee the delivery of first-class media relations
- To plan and deliver relevant business events
- To provide consistent external communication through all Club mediums
- To oversee the delivery of all website portals/sites and match day programme(s)
- To oversee and ensure editorial support for all official literature/publications
- To oversee and co-ordinate all media match day activities (home & away) including Radio, TV, Media Room, Photography and Big Screen
Knowledge and Experience required;
- Ability to formulate and implement media and communication strategies and policies
- Demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of, and experience in media/communications, PR and marketing and the football industry or similar sports industry background
- Ability to prioritise and ensure optimum use of time and resource.
- Experience in managing teams and developing team performance
- Strong level of commercial awareness with the ability to devise and manage budgets
- Strong relationship management skills
- Works well under pressure and able to work unsociable hours
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
