Ecommerce Merchandising Manager

Salary: Competitive Salary » Ref: JO5010 » Location: Lugano, Switzerland

The Ecommerce Merchandiser is responsible for meeting planned sales and gross margin goals for their designated area of merchandise sold online. The objectives will be met by increasing online conversion through online analytics, user experience, and on and off-site merchandising and increasing attachment rate by improving cross-sells and other cross merchandising opportunities. The person is also responsible for assisting in the managing of expenses.
 
The E-Commerce Merchandising Manager has to create and build a business with current and /or new processes, while leveraging the merchandise and the processes within the TNF website.  This position requires the ability to manage multiple, detailed tasks with urgency and accuracy; the person should have the ability to prioritize and re-prioritize work.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver online sales and margin plan.
  • Participate, as needed, in 5 year planning sessions and e commerce Business Plan development and evaluate and recommend category solutions.
  • Manage and publish the merchandising calendar.
  • Manage product merchandising and placement in "virtual endcaps" throughout the TNF websites. Recommend optimal product strategy and merchandising test plan, ensuring sales and merchandising objectives are met.
  • Buying and allocation of TNF product across all categories
  • Support Ecommerce Manager in optimizing online navigation and presentation based on analytics (click-path, traffic, conversion, etc.).
  • Review site traffic, conversion, and average selling price daily, through merchandising, cart analysis, and cross-sell/up-sell strategies 
  • Ensures promotional online execution accuracy (pricing, ads, deals, online experience etc)
  • Partner with the Retail Merchandising team in product builds for TNF.com to support sales.
  • Support marketing team to customize the TNF website based on customer experiences.
  • Implement guided selling by creating engaging online ads and emails, product content and descriptions, and item carousel updates.  Candidate and review all site and email marketing campaigns.
  • Create appropriate cross-sell and up-sell opportunities throughout the site. Monitor performance and adjust accordingly.
  • Work with the Ecommerce Manager to identify and recommend new site content and experiences to address customer needs. Work with Marketing on line team to develop relevant online experience for product category based on customer insights.
  • Collaborate with the Retail and Marketing team to present and sell merchandise through the website.
  • Review competitive websites to evaluate site merchandise, promotional tactics, customer experience, and product presentation and translate findings into executable online programs.
  • Establish collaborative relationships with full-line store buying teams and inventory teams to ensure availability and the timely delivery of merchandise.
  • Drives compliance and standards with processes, policies, tools, and associates within the group.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university; or four years related experience and/ or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong product and analytical skills
  • Prior e-commerce experience desired
  • Relationship building
  • Multi-tasking capabilities
  • Demonstrated leadership and decision making skills
  • Proficiency in the use of desktop applications and Windows-based programs
  • Retail math literacy and application of concepts to daily operations
  • Travel requirements none
