With a 30% year on year growth fuelled by success as a fashion brand, the opportunity is now available for an International Sales Manager to bolster sales to the sports/leisure sector which is currently producing only a small percentage of revenue.
We are looking for someone to spearhead this expansion who knows Golf but also understands the broader world of sport and its contribution to a range of aspirational lifestyles. This means you will have experience of international markets, particularly Asia and the USA, and appreciate the cultures of individual countries and their attitudes to their favourite sports. You will also be used to the world of agents, distributors and direct sales, and know how to pick the best mix and make it work in each market.
We see potential to capitalise on the brand’s unparalleled credentials in golf to generate a broader sports/luxury lifestyle contribution to the overall brand. There is also potential to become the industry leader in the provision of golf/lifestyle wear for women. In doing all of this you will be involved in cultural change, not just inside the company but outside in the world of golf and sport generally.
There is an existing team which is small as most sales are handled through agents. It will be up to you to determine the size of the team you need and the sales structure territory by territory. We're looking for someone who is hungry for the challenge and excitement of making it happen with a hot and edgy brand and is capable of marrying the golf category with heritage.
You'll get some feel for the qualities we're looking for by considering the answers to the following questions:

- Can you have both pleasant and difficult conversations with people?
- Do you ‘get’ lifestyles and see how the pieces fit together?
- Are you commercial? Can you back your gut feel with facts and logic?
- Do you enjoy travel and doing deals in different cultures?
- Do you naturally ‘see’ the series of moves that will conquer a market?
Given the likely amount of travel your own location should have easy access to international travel and to the offices in Oxford Circus.
