Head of Account Management

Head of Account Management - UEFA Euro 2012 Project
 
Eurovision is the operational arm of the European Broadcast Union and for more than 50 years, has successfully distributed multilateral coverage of the most important international events. A community of more than 300 broadcasters around the world is immediately connected to Eurovision's worldwide satellite and fibre network.
 
Eurovision has recently teamed up with UEFA to create a dedicated team to deliver the broadcast requirements of UEFA EURO 2012™.
 
 
The role and responsibilities 
  • Management of the dedicated EBU Subsidiary / UEFA EURO 2012™ Broadcast Service delivery
  • Management of up to 6 Account Managers
  • Responsible for the overall provision of first class operational delivery of the UEFA/EBU contractual servicing agreement within allocated budget.
  • Responsible for the daily running of the Company and implementation of the overall servicing project 
  • In charge of the quality of operational relationship and communication with UEFA and Broadcasters representatives
Job content & diversity 
  • Ensure the overall implementation of rights and contractual obligations by broadcasters through a qualitative management of the dedicated staff and information flow procedure
  • Management of the relationship with main stakeholders of the Project (UEFA, EBU Members, Broadcasters, LOC)
  • Responsible for the operational running of the Company and implementation of Board of Directors’ decisions
  • Budget procedure and timely follow-up and reporting
  • Supervise and control event schedule/planning and establish performance monitoring
  • Implement and ensure fulfillment of various operational tasks by the dedicated account managers’ team
 
Skills Required 
  • Excellent and proven management & communication skills
  • Capable to make decisions and assume high responsibilities
  • Internal & external communication / management of the relation with all involved parties at high level.
  • Flexibility (travels, unscheduled working hours)
  • Confident in contract negotiation with counterparts at high level
  • Excellent organizational, logistical and planning skills, detail oriented and service minded (client comes first).
  • Ability to work and set priorities under time pressure and in a changing environment.
Qualifications and Experience 
  • University degree or equivalent in business administration, sports management or similar
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken, good knowledge of French and/or German, any other European additional language is an asset
  • Good administrative and finance knowledge
  • Experience and proven aptitude for staff and project management
  • Experience in broadcast services / account management domain
  • Good understanding and knowledge of event management procedures and of sport in general
