Country Sales Manager

A leading high quality children’s athletic footwear brand has a substantial growth strategy for the UK and Ireland and is recruiting a Country Sales Manager to develop their distribution network.
The Country Sales Manager will have significant experience in children’s footwear and/or apparel and is an assertive and results driven sales manager.
This Country Sales Manager position reports to the Sales Director Europe. The purpose of the role is to primarily plan and implement sales and marketing activities to meet company targets for sustainable growth and increase profitability in the territory.
Country Sales Manager Responsibilities include;
- Contribute, as an executive member, to the UK executive management of the company.
- Identify, develop and direct the implementation of business strategy in line with the Corporate guidelines and the individual brand related goals
- Plan and direct the organisation's activities to achieve agreed targets and standards for financial and trading performance, quality, culture and legislative adherence
- Recruit, manage, train and motivate direct reporting staff according to company procedures, policy and employment law
- Direct functions and performance via the country specific team
- Maintain and develop an organisational culture, values and reputation in your markets and with all staff, customers, suppliers, partners and regulatory/official bodies
- Organize and manage relevant reporting of management and financial information
- Plan and manage internal communications and awareness of corporate direction, mission, aims and activities
- Report to the European Sales Director on organisational plans and financial performance
- Maintain administration and relevant reporting and planning systems.
- Execute the responsibilities of a Senior staff member according to lawful and ethical standards. This also as referenced in the ethical standards of the Corporation.
Further to this to oversee and/or potentially act on;
- Coordinate implementation of marketing strategy, including advertising and PR.
- Planning and implementation of sales and customer retention and development.
- Planning and managing of sales and marketing resources according to agreed budgets
- Select and manage external agencies or agents if exist
- Manage R&D and NPD and new business development and communicate on such with the respective PLMs (Product Line Managers)
